Our Tanzania coffee comes from the Edelweiss Estate, a farm located next to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the north of the country. It is a remote area, surrounded by indigenous forest: it is not uncommon to encounter elephants or buffaloes near the plantations, as the farm literally shares a green border with the natural reserve.

The Vohora family, who owns the farm, consistently works with the local community. They support schools in the region, have created nurseries for workers' children, offer agricultural training, and maintain several environmental protection projects.

This lot combines Bourbon and Kent and undergoes a washed process with a pre-fermentation step in airtight tanks for two days. After that, the cherries are de-pulped and fermented again, before being fully washed and sun-dried on African beds.

In the cup, the coffee is citrusy, with a relative but balanced acidity and a smooth texture. There is a sweet hint of almond, nuances of malt, all in a clean and well-structured ensemble.
